As some of you guys know I whimped out on the Mi winter for a while and headed south to the gulf for a break. Not to piss you off but this is the view out of my window since monday.
So got my license and decided to give it a go today. All the talk of the tourneys on the Bivvy was driving me crazy
. Unfortunately "she who must be obeyed" had plans for me first and my mid afternoon session turned into a 5pm start!
(It's central time here in Gulf Shores and it goes dark at 5,30pm). However since the Saginaw tournament is includes night fishing I needed some practice.
Fished for a couple of hours and caught this baby.
Luckily it was only 25.5in and the slot limit is 16-26in
. Only wish I knew how to filet redfish properly because I made a right ***** of it. Hopefully I'll get a lot of practice.
Rain coming next couple of days but will be trying to sort out carp spots and also somewhere to catch trout on the fly.
