Hay guys im wanting to be the host for this years first boat carp turny. I have fished this water with tree for the last two years, and its so much fun. Alot of fish will be cought. Im thinking the format of two or three anglers per boat. and it will be for quanity. tell me what you think of this idea.

I've got 2 boats and would possibly be willing to let someone use my smaller boat so more guys could go....

My whole problem with Belleville is that it has no big fish, Ive fished it hard before and only managed 19lb and a few 100 8 to 12lbs, Not that I'm against the idea, I just feel that Ford whole be a better lake for this.

The lake has the potential to produce 50 60 or even 70 fish a boat at this spot. not to mention there is a huge bay that every one can se each other fish. shout to each other and talk smack lol This is a good spot for even a row boat. The spot it a wopping 150 yds off the launch. Should be the perfect spot for this event. Like ryan said there is fish everywhere. they jump right by the boat. well lets hear some more intrest.

Here is my take:

If our group is fortunate enough to have more volunteers willing to host or put on events then we should encourage them to do so and try our best to support them by attending the event.

Having said that, there is a calendar of events already planned and as long as the date of this new event does not fall on the same date as an existing event.

Also I would have you consider changing the word tournament to get together or something more "social" like a fish-in. Unless you have event insurance already lined up

kev if you fish it from a boat with 3 rods you will be glad they are on the small side! doubles and triples are the norm!now picture 2 guys 6rods in 1 boat! and 1 net! netting 2 or 3 fish at a time! if you go to ford the fishing will be a heck of alot slower!with alot of down time! anyways thats my take on it and im planing on being there! keep in mind this is not about size its about numbers

I will do more reserch on this with dates and such. I was mostly trying to se the intrest level and it is concidered a "fish in" lol well the launch can handle alot of boats. more than enough for our group. the bay is a perfect size for our group. so i guess there is no limit to boats.

Andy if for some reason this thing can't get put together it would be a honor to take you out one day! You should be warned though that i can't catch belleville lake carp! My boat was surrounded by them last year jumping everywhere around me but the only one i caught ran into my line and got tangled. It never took the bait!

I am willing to help all I can on this one for sure :D

I look forward to ice off at belleville every year. The dates we did realy good were early, around March 13th-15th

We can fish 2 to 3 Anglers per boat. 2 per boat is ideal.

when we say go for numbers on Belleville, what we usually do is just count each fish. hook one, get it in the boat, throw it back, thats 1 then hook the next one. Crazy fast none stop action.

Good Idea Brandon, hopefully it all comes together this year and we can share this unbellevilleable trip with all who want to give it a go.
